  • This training and certification program provides participants with self-administered, hands-on training for the techniques required to safely handle chemotherapy drugs.
  • Uses fluorescent dye as part of the training. During the training, you must complete a section requiring you to go through mock compounding procedures using fluorescent dye. If any fluorescent dye is spilled on the gloves, gowns or prep area, the black light will expose it.
  • The program educates participants about the risks associated with the handling of cytotoxic drugs.
  • Components include:
    • Fluorescein Dye
    • UV light without batteries (requires 4 AA batteries)
    • Five 10" x 17" (250mm x 432mm) Prep Mats
    • Five Transport Bags
    • Training Manual for Nursing or Pharmacy with 1 Certificate Application per training kit (Certificate valid for one person only).
    • Refill kits of the Fluorescein Dye are available for both programs for ongoing training.
