When closed with the Snap caps, vials meet specific requirements of the United States Pharmacopeia 31/National Formulary 26 (USP31/NF26) as defined in the Chapter 671 "Containers-Performance Testing." Therefore, pharmaceuticals which require "light" and "tight" characterizations afforded by these monographs may be safely dispensed in these containers.
Vials and Caps pass USP 671 Moisture Permeation tests.
