Snap these Blue plastic caps over the additive port on Baxter Viaflex IV bags to indicate that medication has been added. Use of these safety caps also helps eliminate and indicate tampering by restricting the port access.

Unlike adhesive and foil seals, the thick plastic cannot be penetrated with a needle.

Tamper resistant caps are easy to use. After additives have been injected into the I.V. bag, place the non-sterile hinged cap over the additive port and snap closed. Once the cover is attached, it is difficult and time consuming to remove.
